Residencial Panorama
Residencial Panorama is located on the hillside of Serra da Estrela. It offers elegant rooms, a natural stone façade, views over the historical town of Covilhã and free public Wi-Fi. The cosy rooms are furnished with wood-furniture and tiled floors. Each is air conditioned and provides a private bathroom. Some rooms feature a private balcony, which look out onto the city. The welcoming bar and lounge, with comfy leather sofas, provides an ideal spot for enjoying a refreshing drink. The Panorama also offers a 24-hour front desk and free parking on site. Covilhã train station is just 1.5 km away.

Avoid it!
1) I was billed an additional 10 EUR just because a friend came to visit me, it stayed in my room for around 1 hour.
2) The staff didn't wanted to provide me the "Complaints book" so that I report this incident: in Portugal they are obliged to do so if a customer request it. It was around one hour until they provided me this book.
3) During the night, when returning to the residential, no one was in the reception to give me my room's key, I tried to call someone with no luck. At the end I just picked up my room's key from the key locker (imagine if was someone with bad intentions...)
4) The water wasn't hot at 19:00
5) Other smaller issues....
Conclusion: maybe I was just unlucky, but for sure I wont be staying there again; there are more places in Covilha where the prices/location aren't that different (well, I even paid more taking into consideration these additional 10 EUR...) and for sure you wont have these sorts of problems.
Just avoid this place!

Pleasant hotel (not much choice in Covilha)
There is no public transport towards Torre.
