Elite Smeralda Room
Part of a private housing estate 2953 feet from the beach Elite Smeralda Room offers outdoor pools for adults and children and a lush garden. The apartments have a balcony or patio and TV. The apartments come with free Wi-Fi a fully equipped kitchenette with fridge and a washing machine. The private bathroom includes a shower and free toiletries. The Elite Smeralda Room is 2297 feet from Porto Rotondo city center. The property can arrange a shuttle service to Olbia Airport 11 mi away. A public bus stops just outside the property.

Entspannende Badeferien
We (me and a friend, both 25) wanted to have relaxing holidays (just beach and doing nothing, There are no interesting Clubs in Porto Rotondo). Apta Smeralda was perfect! We arrived the last Friday in High-season (until 12th September). That was very important as you can read further down.
Arrival/Departure: Taxi costs 45 Euros, 20 minutes. There is also a bus (1.50 Euros) but you have to walk another 15 minutes to the airport. Take a Taxi!
Staff: very friendly, gave very good hints regarding Beach, Busses and restaurant. Finding the reception was difficult, because the office is about 200m next to the hotel. She even was so flexible that on departure-day we could stay until early afternoon.
Apartment: We had a small apartment with a cozy bed, tv, couch, kitchen (pans and dishes included), fridge, washing machine, a huge balcony and more. All was clean and working. The shower is small but there is hot water. There is a big pool but over midday it is closed. The Area was very friendly and quiet.
Neighborhood: in front of our window there was the police station and the dogs were barking sometimes very loud. the traffic is low and not loud. The high-season was over so the club was closed; otherwise it can be very loud!! There is a small supermarket around the corner and a little bakery with ice cream and scones and very good coffee.
Beach: In High-Season there is a bus twice per hour that drives to the beach.
There is free wlan but it's very slow.
After the high-season it’s a perfect spot for families and people who want to relax!

Disappointed: uncomfortable bed and lots of noise from dogs
Very uncomfortable beds and lot of noise from the police station dogs. We were disappointed unfortunately as prices were quite high due to high season. The only positive thing was the proximity to the harbor & beach, also host Luna was nice and made an effort to take care of us and addressed our questions. We will not be returning to this place unfortunately.

Great location and very quiet!
We found the appartment to be in a great location, just a 5 minute walk down to the beautiful marina with all the restaurants (which are on the expensive side!)
There is a small supermarket opposite the apartments but again it is really expensive so we decided to hire a car and drive to the bigger supermarkets in Olbia - they were much more reasonable with a huge selection.
The appartment itself was very clean and perfect for what we wanted. The kitchen facilities are very limited but we did make do. No oven trays or dishes, no kettle or toaster.
The near by beaches are lovely and you can walk to them no problem. A car was great though as it meant we could explore slightly further. The Europcar office is just round the corner.
The appartments are set in beautiful gardens which are well maintained and the pool is so nice. It's huge with plenty of sun beds (closed between 1-3pm).
It's worth taking a few supplies with you as things are v expensive in the local shop - e.g. Washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, cereal etc!

Nothing Elite about it!
We booked to stay here as a couple this June.
We were due to arrive around 21:00 and pre-arranged this with the company. However the property is very difficult to find, and not signposted. We were left walking around the town for an hour ringing the company with no reply. Once we found the property we were told our company wasn't there and we had to wait another 30 minutes for someone to come and check us in.
The room we had was nothing like the photos and smelt of stale smoke, you are provided with minimal equipment in the kitchen -> most of it is rusty or broken which makes cooking meals very difficult, however the grounds are lovely and location within Porto Rotondo is fantastic. One good point is that the air con works really well.
Despite us being told by booking.com that there would be toiletries included - there was nothing provided.
The Wifi is only available by the pool - and even there it doesn't work.
The shower had fallen off the wall before our arrival - we informed the company representative straight away, and had to remind her after 3 days to which she replied sorry I forgot. To be fair, the manager fixed it that day as soon as his staff had informed him.
There are so many nice places to stay in Porto Rotondo, I am disappointed that we wasted our well earned money here as it is a total rip-off.

Relaxing and comfortable stay
We had a one bedroom apartment for 3 people and it was spacious and very comfortable. The grounds of the complex are beautiful and well kept and the pool was a generous size. Our only problem was not being able to find the reception in order to check in when we arrived. It was actually in an apartment and not signposted! Make sure you have clear checkin details from your agent.
