Mixed review like many others but overall good
Negatives its noisy at night if you are staying anywhere new the Bar you can hear the music coming from it upstairs into your room. Also if you stay at the front of the hotel the smokers patio is below your window and you will get the whiff of cigarette smoke coming into your bedroom (i was on the second floor and it was quite strong). But on a budget its a good place clean room and functional - all you need really.

Abnormal and overpriced hotel
The reception was okay and quite cool. We then took the not so trustworthy elevator.
The room was 80s style and pretty worn but clean.
Breakfast was definitely the best in this hotel.
Just under 90 euros is definitely too expensive for an old worn-out room without any comfort.

Can't do it!
Breakfast - officially from 7:00 a.m. - starts with baked rolls from the day before - fresh rolls arrived at three-quarters eight.
Overpriced, run by people who have no idea about gastronomy!

Compliments to the chef
Minus: it can be a bit noisy if people start talking in the square (echo's) or in neighbouring room(s).
Breakfast was very good, with home-made jams and more than enough choice, not only served to hotelguests but also to local customers who came in to enjoy the breakfast. The cafe/restaurant obviously was a meeting point for the local community.
We were on a 'lastminutedeal', half-pension, which included a 4 course dinner with a drink. And it wás a 4 course dinner and a good one too: quality AND presentation of the food was excellent, the cook obviously took pride in her work. There were not stingy with the drink either. Hotel Daun and especially the cook gave us more than enough value for our money.
