From January 1, 2023, the 19% VAT will be applied to tourist services again. However, nonresidents of Colombia can benefit from the VAT exemption provided they comply with the provisions of Decree 297 of 2016. To do so, they must show their physical passport with the valid entry and stay stamp (PT) or a valid temporary visa with a tourist visa stamp (V). Otherwise, the exemption cannot be applied. Important: Prepayments will always be made before VAT is applied. Nonexempt people must pay the corresponding amount of VAT at check-in. Please note that this property does NOT allow pets on its premises. For stays on or after January 1, 2023, residents of Colombia and non-residents staying 60 consecutive days or more will be charged a 19% national sales tax by the property at the time of stay. Travelers on a tourist visa will not be required to pay this tax. The tax may be charged where a room is shared by a taxable and a non-taxable guest.
