Disgusting

The hotel was booked for us by a travel agency. The only positive thing is the location. Of the minuses: upon arrival, they take away the passports of all residents, then somehow you beg to return at least one passport for a while in order to buy a SIM card. The rooms are cleaned only in the middle, there is bare dust around the edges, the carpets and headboards of the beds are black and dirty. Under the beds there is generally a dense forest. The mattresses are absolutely dirty. We didn’t sit on the chairs, as they swayed in all directions, and we were honestly afraid of breaking them. The refrigerator lives its own life, I had to turn it off. The windows were last washed about 10 years ago, the curtains are in the same condition as the windows. Slippers and drinking water are not provided in the rooms. They don't talk at the reception, they just bark. The employees are very arrogant and unscrupulous. When you check in, they give you the keys and go wherever you want, no one escorts you or rents out your room. But when leaving, they check everything up and down. And the dirt on the bed linen that has not been washed off before us is safely presented to us. They won't give you your passports until you pay them compensation. Speaking of compensation: for our 5 mm by 5 mm spot on the pillowcase they demanded 110 yuan from us, which was 1,500 rubles at that time. Not too bad. And for the same spot on the sheet, and not ours, they demanded 160 yuan (2,100 rubles). The Russians came with us and they demanded 400 yuan. It got ridiculous, we went up to the floor 2 times and washed their bed linen ourselves by hand. About water in the shower: sometimes it’s there, sometimes it’s not. Basically the pressure goes away when you lather up. It’s very “pleasant” at these moments. After staying in this hotel, my entire impression of China is spoiled. Before this, there was heaven and earth in the Harbin hotel: from the cleanliness of the rooms to the respect of the staff.

At the reception, the accommodation voucher caused a slight panic. The staff made long phone calls and talked on the radio before they made a decision about my check-in.
The front door of the room shows signs of forced entry and the chain is broken.
There was a sewer smell in the toilet room, despite the constantly running fan.
There is no shelf for a headdress in the wardrobe, no shelves for things.
There is no stand for the suitcase, I had to keep it open on the floor.
There are no drinking water containers in the room.
There are no disposable slippers in the room.
There are no cloths for wiping shoes.
WIFI is very slow. Even the mail connection with the office is interrupted.
I couldn't figure it out with the TV. It does not show TV channels via the antenna input and movies from a flash drive in MP4 format, but everything is paid through the China Unicom Smart set-top box.
The restaurant is not open in the morning, they promised to deliver breakfast to your room at 8-00.

When leaving the hotel, the reception staff demanded payment, it was unclear why.
After my refusal, they called for a long time, after which they returned my passport.

Great hotel very close to the railway station, just be aware that if you walk to the hotel you have to go over a bridge so just bare that in mind if have luggage. Only a short drive to the main scenic areas and only a short walk to the main pedestrian street. Lots of places around to eat. Breakfast delivered to the room.
Only downside was the receptionist wasn’t the friendliest towards foreigners.
