We had the most wonderful stay at Swissôtel Amsterdam for our wedding anniversary, made even more special by a generous upgrade to a suite. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was impeccable—the staff truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and celebrated.
The suite was beautifully designed, spacious, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The bed was plush, the amenities were thoughtful, and the attention to detail was evident throughout. Every corner of the hotel exuded warmth and elegance, making it a perfect retreat in the heart of Amsterdam.
While the location is fantastic—right in the city center—it does come with a bit of street noise, but it wasn’t a major issue for us. The overall experience was still absolutely lovely, and we truly appreciated the effort put into making our anniversary so memorable.

Perfect location as it is located right on the main streets where all the hustle and bustle is at yet quiet enough for a good night’s sleep.
Service was impeccable as the staff were all helpful and friendly.
Amenities wise, we had a kettle that was rusty but that got replaced quickly after we made a call to the reception. The air-conditioning wasn’t the best either but the very efficient staff helped to fix it and it was much better for the subsequent nights.
Room was pretty dated but quite well-kept except the bathroom where the underside of the toilet seat was not cleaned and had visible stains.
Overall a relatively good stay at the Swissotel and would recommend to all!

Pricey but worth paying for the location!
The hotel is the 2nd shop from dam square, which cuts through the city centre. About a 15 mins walk from Amsterdam Central station (where we took a bus to Keukenhof). It’s walking distance to many good eateries and 10-30mins to museums (Anne Frank, Van Gough) It also has a tours and tickets next door, where we got our last minute canal cruise tickets. Fast fashion shopping is found along the street behind the hotel. Luxury shopping is opposite the street. Our room doesn’t face the street, so we didn’t have the problem with noise. The room and toilet were small but had the basic necessities. Although the room was cleaned, towels not replaced. Breakfast selection was limited, so it may be a good idea to eat out. All in all, you are paying a high price for convenience of the location.

Great convenient hotel
Excellent location, close to all the main attractions in Amsterdam and only an easy, about 10 minute walk to Centraal station. Staff was super friendly, gave us a few great recommendations of where to get breakfast when we arrived early in the morning and stored our luggage for us until we returned later to check in. Room was pretty spacious and very comfortable!
