Look no further, it's here!
The perfect place to stay with very helpful and friendly hosts ♡
The ideal location, quiet, close to everything and with the singing of birds as a gift.
Welcome treats, a beautiful bathroom and very clean rooms, a large house with wonderfully furnished rooms, a superb veranda for having a very friendly breakfast with a view of a magnificent garden.
I'm sure I'm forgetting some... however I won't forget these warm conversations and all this information linked to our visit, which was recommended to us by the hosts of these places, people you absolutely must meet!!!
Thank you very much for this fabulous stay!

A very pleasant guest room.

A very friendly welcome, for a large house with clean and comfortable rooms and a very practical common space in the attic (kitchen, billiards, etc.) Special mention for the copious breakfast under the terrace and the good advice for your visits of the region. We will come back.

Ideal location for stroll to town, or drive to Verdun battlefield

Fantastic hosts. If you are interested in the history of Verdun, the city or battlefield, I strongly recommend you stay here. The property is very well appointed. The room was beautiful. Tastefully decorated. Lots of oak...floors and furniture. Parking available on the property. I walked to the center of town in about 15 minutes. The route takes one by the canal, the river, and historic sites. The restaurant recommended by the host was very good. It appeared that only locals were there, unlike the restaurants along the river. The Dragee served a great breakfast. Very much a family style event. Easy to find. Easy to drive to the battlefield. Very quiet, family neighborhood. Very safe. The route to the city center was also very safe. The canal and river walk is relaxing. I highly recommend the Dragee.

Terrific value and friendly hosts

I stayed here for my 1st night of motorcycle trip as its about the right distance if disembarking Calais at 11am. Would stay again. Comments below:
PRO’s: Small and quiet B&B with just a few rooms but close to a few local restaurants, free garage for bike, very charming husband and wife run the place (speak good english), decent breakfast for 7 euro, clean + spacious + comfortable bedroom with communal living area outside, visit the dragée factory and shop nearby and large WW1 cemetary 5 miles away
CON’s: Communal shower and toilet (didn’t bother me for the price), floors are quite creaky when other guests are active

Not a good bed; toilette in hallway

Just so you know, I love old houses, quaint properties and charming venues. This house in Verdun’s suburbs had none of that. Room was large but the bed was awful. Mattress lumpy and uncomfortable. You couldn’t walk to anything but we had a car so that was okay. I didn’t realize that the rooms had sink and shower only, the toilet was in the hall! Yikes, I must get up 3 times a night and had to sneak out into the hallway. I just didn’t like it. For others, no worries. Breakfast was $7 which seems pricey for weak coffee, no eggs or meat and just plain yogurt. The host spoke good English and was very enthusiastic about the WWI battles and shared all kinds of good info. We appreciated it very much.
