Very good Hotel , very attentive staff

*** Simple 3-star hotel conveniently located near Chalon-sur-Saone ***
The room was very basic but functional. Not to mention the nicely made restaurant with a really excellent breakfast, which we enjoyed the next morning.

RESTAURANT LES CHARMILLES DESOLANT IN ALL
This restaurant refuses to serve you a menu card if you have a gift box... while all the restaurants we have made do and more WITH PLEASURE since we make them earn more on a meal.. them not .. a menu card smartbox end point... that does not break three legs to a duck a trucker does much better ... NOT IN LINE WITH REALITY .. on the other hand you can order on the wine list (ex a bottle for 120€) for a smartbox meal obliged to not even 15€ flavor...
Go elsewhere c sad to see still restaurants so poorly connected... too bad the setting could be nice in summer but too close to the road too noisy

Contradictory
We had a nice chat at the reception bar with a glass of good sparkling wine before dinner, the the problems started: we had no common language with the personnel, who ran away every time we tried to make an order. The Hungarian receptionist was the only one we could communicate, somehow the timing did not work; the wines
( excellent) came late, far after the courses. About hte courses: starters were good, steak stiff, cheeses excellent with the red that came late.
